Dr. Rachel NgMB BS (melbourne)
Dr Rachel Ng completed her medical degree at Monash University in Melbourne in 2006, graduating with first class honours. She undertook her postgraduate training in anaesthesia at the Alfred Hospital in Melbourne where her areas of special interest were in trauma and perioperative anaesthesia. Upon returning home QLD in 2013 to be closer to family, Rachel completed a fellowship in upper gastrointestinal anaesthesia at the Princess Alexandra Hospital and was awarded her FANZCA in 2015. Rachel took up an appointment as a full time staff specialist at the PAH that same year. In 2017 Rachel undertook a further fellowship in upper gastrointestinal anaesthesia at Queen Mary hospital in Hong Kong.
Rachel commenced private practice in 2016 and joined Narcosia Anaesthesic Group in 2018. She continues to work as a consultant anaesthetist at the PAH where she is the supervisor of training for Upper GI anaesthesia and is actively involved in teaching anaesthetic trainees and medical students. Her broad spectrum of anaesthetic practice includes trauma, upper GI, urology, plastic and reconstructive, endoscopic and hepatobiliary anaesthesia.
Rachel enjoys tailoring an anaesthetic to individual needs and is looking forward to being part of the team looking after you on the day of your surgery.
