Dr Len Cox has practiced anaesthesia for over twenty years. He is a graduate of the University of Queensland (1991) and after a couple of years in North Queensland and a brief surgical detour started his first anaesthesia job in the UK in 1995. He completed anaesthesia training in Queensland, gaining wide experience in Brisbane, Ipswich and Cairns, and further stints as a Fellow at the Royal London and St Bart’s Hospitals in London, and Consultant locums in the London and Newcastle-on-Tyne areas. He has been in private practice with the Narcosia group since 2004.

His practice is varied and includes Urology, Orthopaedics and Spinal, Upper GI Surgery including Oesophagectomies, Colo-Rectal Surgery, Gynaecology, Eyes, Dental and IVF. He has an interest in the basic sciences of anaesthesia and is an Associate Clinical Lecturer with UQ. He is involved in Primary viva teaching, Medical Student examinations and has been a manuscript reviewer for journals and a Visiting Specialist at the Royal Brisbane Hospital.

His free time is spent with his two primary school age children, or exploring interests in astronomy, rugby and wine, with diversions into cycling and swimming.
